Van’s solid groove has taken him around the world numerous
times, and his musicianship has been showcased in many different
styles of music from Fusion to Pop and beyond. Throughout Van’s
career, he has performed or recorded with Steve Morse, Enrique
Iglesias, Pitbull, Ciara, Ludacris, Naughty By Nature, Juan Luis
Guerra, Nena, Steve Vai, Vinnie Moore, Billy Joel, Joan Osborne,
Blood, Sweat and Tears, Kansas, The Dixie Dregs, Bernie Worrell,
Deep Purple, the London Symphony Orchestra, Howard Jones, Kim
Wilde, Gloriana, Jaco Pastorius, Ronnie James Dio, Adam Holzman and
many more. Van joins us today from his personal studio, Live Wire,
in West Orange, NJ.
Van tells us what inspired him to play the drums, the
challenges of being the musical director for a tour, and how he has
continued staying busy with his personal studio.
